"MONTREAL — After more than a week of clinging to life, the city's youngest homicide victim of 2008 died alone in a Montreal hospital. Now the hunt is on for the nine-month-old boy's mother (Flotvelyne Jean-Louis) and her boyfriend (Casy Pierre Mesidor), who haven't been heard from in nearly a week.
"Calgary -- A man (Victor Dean Gosse) from Frederickton, Nfld., has been charged with manslaughter and indignity to a body in connection with last summer's grisly discovery of the dismembered remains of a Calgary woman, police said yesterday. Wendy Hewko, 48, had been missing since last July when parts of her body turned up in two different locations in Calgary in August.

"SURREY, B.C. — A man has been charged in a recent Surrey shooting that left one man dead. Last month, 24-year-old Tejvir Singh Bains, also known as Sunny Bains, was shot to death in a condo. Raminder Singh Bhandher of Surrey faces one count of first-degree murder in his death. Police said the suspect is known to police."

"LONDON, Ont. — Seven girls in London, Ont., have been charged with assault following attacks on a 19-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy. Police say the woman was swarmed and repeatedly punched by a group of girls aged 12-16 as she walked on a street the night of Feb. 2. Earlier that day, say police, a 15-year-old male friend of the woman was also swarmed and he suffered a stab wound in the back during the assault."

"A mother accused of the murder of her two daughters who were found stabbed at their Cambridgeshire home has appeared in court. Rekha Kumari-Baker, 40, of Stretham, was remanded in custody, at Cambridge Crown Court, to a date yet to be fixed. Davina Baker, 16, and her sister Jasmine Baker, 13, were found fatally stabbed at their mother's home on 13 June 2007. Mrs Kumari-Baker is yet to enter a plea to the charges."
